Within the iCNS consortium, I work as a Research Technician in Work Package 2, where we will create a molecular human brain atlas with a focus on brain regions associated with psychiatric disorders by means of a multi-omics approach. These include spatial transcriptomics, chemical proteomics and metabolomics, at single cell resolution of brain regions across multiple neuropsychiatric disorders (i.e. major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, frontotemporal dementia, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease and controls).

We will zoom in on neuron-glia interactions to delineate aberrant cell-cell interactions and communication in psychiatric disorders. The targets identified will be validated in independent datasets and characterized at a molecular and cellular level and across regions – patients – tissue types.
