Within iCNS, my research focuses on understanding how brain cells change in psychiatric disorders. We generate multiple types of RNA-omics data from human post-mortem brain tissues to characterize cell states across brain regions and diseases. We aim to identify psychiatry-associated molecular and cellular perturbations and determine how interactions between brain cells are altered. Ultimately, this work contributes to a detailed cellular and spatial atlas of the human brain in health and disease and may reveal mechanisms that can be modulated.
