Prof. Boudewijn Lelieveldt gives lecture at NIN
21 November 2025
On the afternoon of Friday November 21 at 16:00, Prof. dr. ir. Boudewijn Lelieveldt, Professor of Biomedical Imaging at Leiden University Medical Center, will give a lecture at the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience.
Prof. Lelieveldt will be presenting on the topic “How to standardize a brain? Data visualization for the Human and Mammalian Brain Atlas Project (HMBA)”. In his talk, he will explore the challenges and opportunities involved in creating standardized anatomical frameworks for both human and mammalian brains, and will discuss how advanced data-visualization techniques support the development of large-scale brain atlas projects.
The HMBA initiative plays a crucial role in integrating multimodal neuroscience data, and Prof. Lelieveldt’s work offers important insights into how imaging and visualization can help researchers better interpret complex brain structures. The lecture will be followed by an open discussion, providing an opportunity for attendees to engage directly with the speaker.
We warmly invite anyone with an interest in neuroscience, biomedical imaging, or brain-atlas research to join us for this inspiring session that is followed by informal drinks.
