New Postdoc at Inge Holtman Lab

Shivam Kumar has joined the Holtman Lab at UMCG as a postdoctoral researcher funded by the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. With a strong background in machine learning, he will focus on developing AI-driven methods to analyze histopathology data from the Netherlands Brain Bank (NBB), as part of the Netherlands Neurogenomics Database (NND). Shivam will also collaborate closely with the iCNS team.

Shivam completed his PhD at the Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) in India, where he focused on developing AI-driven methods for analyzing complex biological data. He will now focus on leveraging pathological imaging data to predict clinical traits and uncover underlying genetic profiles, aiming to bridge imaging phenotypes with genomics in precision medicine.
