Giorgia Tosconi wins Dick Swaab Award 2025

The Dick Swaab Award 2025 was awarded to dr Giorgia Tosconi, researcher at the Netherlands institute for Neuroscience. The award ceremony took place during the the recent visit of Queen Maxima to the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience. Since 2024, the Dick Swaab award is awarded yearly to a junior researcher who stands out for their innovative research and significant contribution to the international scientific debate.

“She stands out for her innovative research questions, her capability to address large scientific discussions and her exceptional achievements as youg researcher.” Tosconi’s work focusses on the mechanisms of brain plasticity and the way in which brain networks adapt during disease and recovery.
